DEFENCE

Humanicks is fortunate to have two ex-Servicemen, this enables us to understand acutely the needs of the soldier, sailor or airmen. Having lived the life and used the equipment we are uniquely placed to use our expertise to offer sound and practical advice. From highly kinetic land operations with The Parachute Regiment to the endurance of the Submariner.

As such we advise with informed judgement and appreciation, across all defence domains providing Human Factors, Safety and Engineer expertise to MoD suppliers.

Humanicks is pleased to be in the process of signing the Armed Forces Covenant, which is a promise to those who serve and have served to treat them fairly and make sure they are not disadvantaged in their day-to-day lives.

Past Projects Include:

  • Williams Fairey – HF Lead for Heavy Dry Support Bridge for the bid to the US Army, applying MIL-STD1472 and Def Stan 00-25 (as was)

Humanicks director Nick Shorter (a former British Army officer) says:

“During Op Telic, I saw the value of equipment that is easy and intuitive for soldiers to use; I have learned from those experiences first hand and apply them through our approach to Human Factors at Humanicks”.
